marine_man
Tom,You're not too far from decent hunting... it's not Mott, ND hunting, but if you look you'll find them in SE ND.Head south of your archery land and west if need be and you shouldn't have too many problems finding them.marine_man

brittman
Year or two ago you should have heard then crowing in the morning. This year the pheasant hunting in that area will be hit or miss. Corn slow to come out wont help.

Ed Carlson
Harv try Sargent County, near Rutland and just North near Milnor. I may have a tip for you on whom to contact for a landowner with a lot of open land to hunt. I am from down that way. Numbers are down a bit due to a tough winter and spring, yet there are a lot of birds to hunt....and billions of ducks.Drop me an e-mail. Springerguy1
I grew up in Sargent County and still hunt there often. Pheasant population is down significantly from last year but there are birds in the area - you'll just have to put in some time hunting. Frankly, some of the best hunts I've experienced have been in down years since you don't have near the hunters. Talked to a brother this morning that is enjoying the youth hunt with his grandson and they are seeing birds - but it is wet and muddy. Plenty of corn in the field and soybean harvest is on hold with the rain - not sure how long before the harvest will pick up again.
