Spearing in North Dakota

I am going to plan a road trip out there.

Any details on what lakes are open, what the limits are, etc.

Maybe we could gather all that info and post it on a sticky thread here before opener.

If I were to pick one lake it would be Devils Lake.

5 daily limit and 10 possession for Devils Lake and the rest of the state is 3 daily limit and 6 possession.

It's pretty funny, I was just looking at lakes that are open to spearing in ND because I may be moving out there this winter, and then I come on FM and see this thread. Perfect.

Gator how is the water clarity out there? I was able to find some contour maps of lakes that are open to spearing but there isn't any info on the water clarity. I would imagine most lakes aren't that clear?

You are correct spearingboy. Most of the lakes have clarity issues and every year is different.

Sure wish the the North Dakota Game and Fish would open all lakes to spearing because of this very problem, but they must know more than I.

well we should set it up on a weekend were we leave early friday or thursday, and come home sunday! I would more then likley drive myself as well! Houses, wheeler, and all the stuff, along with CB!

my dec is full and the only oter 2010 weekend that doesnt work right now is 1-5. BUT my work schudule may change, i may be real busy then. you guys need to just schedule it whenever most can go, dont worry about me. besides by then i will be in possesion of the trophy here in MN anyway!!!!!!!
