anyone on O'dowd lately?

Im headin out tomorrow morning to O'dowd and wondering if anyone has been out there lately? I've never fished the lake before but i have heard good things. Any reports in the last two weeks of how that bite has been?

My league was out there this past Tuesday evening. It was a slow bite for the most part with not a ton of fish caught, but it seemed like the only consistent slow action we got was on scum frogs in heavy pads and weeds. Alot of people marked tons of fish on the steeper dropoffs but couldn't get any takers. Its a great lake with big fish in it, but you gotta hope that the fish cooperate. Either way, just cover alot of water if you fish a frog and you'll get some blowups. Don't give up on those fish either if you miss it. My 21.25" from that evening was caught after going back 20 minutes after the first blowup. Caught it in the exact same spot, and had 2 other fish on that evening after the same thing happened.

Personally I'd give a month or two. Then it will be HOT!!
