wow this got a little out of hand i was only asking a question i didnt mean to start a huge debate! But what you said mmw24 in your last response makes perfect sense and i see how i can use the 7 foot med/hvy for pitching and deep cranks. I just wanted to make sure that a medium rod with a moderate tip would be enough for spinnerbaits, does anyone else have an opinion on that? I guess if not i could always use my med. hvy. for spinnerbaits

There is no need to have a crank only tournament. I'm sure how ever mudddog fishes works quite well for him, we have seen it in his picts. Same with Tonka and Cecil. Its perfectly fine that people fish differently. And I stick by my statement that what works for one will not work for others.

As for the debate going on. Me personally. I sue the exact same rod for deep cranks and spinnerbaits. 7'MH TC4 Crucial Crankbait rod, its far more similar to a Med than a MH. And I would not think of using it for jigs.
