Upcoming ATV/State Forest Use Changes.

To what degree will the new state forest re-classifications affect where and when you ride your ATV? It sure put a crunch in our recreation. We ride quite a bit in what is now classified as "Managed", but as of Sept. 1, will become "Limited" and prohibit travel on many trails. I believe that all state forests south of Highway 2 will be classified as either "Limited" or "Closed". The only "Managed" state forests will be north of highway 2.

I dont know the specifics, but one of my buddies deer hunts in this area and he said he could no longer drive his ATV into the area, but could drive a 5000 pound truck in there. Doesnt seem to make sense.

Read the regs carefully to see if there's provisions for its use during hunting or not. Most likely there is.
