Fishing lakers after dark?

Do lakers bite after dark or are they pretty much just day feeders?

Day feeders. I've never heard of a lake trout caught during the night.

I have caught them with glow jigs when its almost completely dark at sunset. so its not impossible. after sunset, I think you should head to the nearest walleye lake;-)

Lakers can be caught after dark.

I've heard of it before, now and then, but never saw it happen until opener this winter on Gunflint Lake, when the biggest laker we got (10 pounds or so) came while it was still totally dark, about 5:30 a.m.

I bet if people kept at it and tried hard they could find a night-time pattern.
