Looking to take a quick trip across the border. Yellow is an option but are there any other productive waters just across the border?

Bone Deer and the Apple River Flowage all have very good numbers. Bone is probably the easiest to fish of those. Don't forget trolling as a technique, as you can fish up to 3 lines.

Or just fish the st. croix and do 1/2 the driving...

The musky fishing on Yellow has steadily gotten worse over the past 12 years or so. Not surprisingly, this also coincides with when they cut the stocking in half. There's still fish to be had. But it's much tougher than it used to be.

Polk, st.croix, barron, rusk county all 1- 1.5 hour drive from twin cities but jeff r are right st.croix aren't that far from t.c.

Bone/Deer are a zoo on weekends.

Cedar Lake (St. CROIX Cty.) near Star Prairie. Will throw a 50" plus from time to time. Gets green early.
