fishing tech
I fianlly took my new ride out today through the woods. Ok I let the kids ride the wheelers. After riding for about 10- 15 minutes in low, they were riding slow on some new trails. It would not shift out of gear. We had to shut it off to change gears. So then I let them ride in the field in high and the same thing happened. I have about 13 miles on it. Should we run it some more or should I take it in? norm
Sounds like the clutches are a little out of alignment or the rollers in the drive clutch might be sticking. Either way its a pretty easy fix.
Dave S
the problem is more than likely the shift linkage between the shifter and the transmission. Minor adjustment is all it should take.

Hafnutz
Be sure your idle speed isn't too high. Should be around 1,000 rpm.Shift linkage on them is a little stiff when they're new. It will loosen up as it gets used. Nice machine you will be happy with it.
