So then, if you are shooting in Adobe RGB what is your workflow for converting it to sRGB or don't you do that? I thought that most labs wanted the files in sRGB and you would also convert it for the web, right?

I just convert posting to the web because 95% of web users do not use color managed browsers so the use of sRGB provides the least amount of color shifting. If you post in Adobe RGB your shots will look flat and dull. To answer your question I convert at the end of editing when I save as a JPEG.

Most labs will accept either Adobe RGB or sRGB. They just need an assigned profile so their press knows what to print. Looking at the WHCC site they mentioned if your file doesn't have a color space assigned it will assume sRGB. Color management topics could have a new forum created just about that!

Thanks guys, I've been shooting a lot of bike races lately and have been shouting raw plus basic. I get nervous every time the finish line shots come around because I only have 4.5 shots in raw before it the buffer is done. I was sitting here reviewing the last race and thinking that I should go to straight jpeg for the finish. I've been using Nikon's NX2 software and it has great latitude when making adjustments to jpeg's. After reading this discussion I might just have to give the jpeg's another chance. After all I've been dumping so much RAW into my computer that I have to keep moving older images onto a hardrive, not just the back-ups. Thanks for the advice, even though it wasn't directed to me!

I am curious to how you guys determine the WB for these churches and other difficult situations? Expodisc? Gray Cards?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you are using LR2, the only disadvantage of shooting RAW would be buffer speed, as you probably would save space (or at least not lose much) in the long run by not having to save the original and then post processed files.
