zamboni
Will these aerated buckets keep water and minnows from freezing in my garage?? Gets to around 15-20 degrees in there, and in a regular styrofoam bucket it gets a 1 inch or so skim on the top. I would think the water being aerated would prevent this? wishing for walleyes
I doubt it.I keep my minnows in a 5 gallon bucket with a double pump and they will freeze up in january in the garage.

gritsnham
Depnds on how cold it is but I usually keep my minnows aerated in the basement otherwise when its cold the cold air going in seems to freeze it faster
honda400ex_treme
I keep mine in my entry way of the house, and change out the water every other day and also add snow. Make sure not to change all the water at one time, the temperature shock will kill all the minnows. This also will keep a dog entertained for a while. zamboni
If you decide to, LMK. We are going up on friday, me, dad and our cousin Duane Schultz from Fairmont. I have a mini van, so plenty of room.
Shack
I used to use a cheap aquarium heater in conjunction with an aerator when I had an unheated garage.
NCLaker
Aerator helps slow down the freezing, but if it gets cold enought it won't stop it.
zamboni
I wonder, in a cooler with a blanket? Maybe that will do it?
