hamms-scooter
Anyone know a good safe product to clean the oil sluge off of the exhaust and other parts of my Srtikemaster powerhead? Would gas be ok? It has been on there a while... was from before I switched to amsoil.
pathogen
I've used WD-40 and a cloth. It worked well for me.

mn_al
WD-40 works for a lot more than people think....always my #1 go to.
cavalierowner
Yep, nothing better than WD-40. Also good for greasy hands, tar, and a thousand other things.
OnAFly
I'll have to get to that as well. I switched over this fall and still have a drop of the old gunk spit out every once in a while. It might have something to do with my dad's theory on mixed gas. "If 40:1 is good, 20:1 is better!"
magnum mike
If the WD doesn't work, try Magic Eraser sponges. I have used them to remove exhaust stains from older outboards and the are amazing. I haven't found anything they won't clean.

dustin85
PJ1 super cleaner works well for cleaning a lot of stuff! I have picked it up at our local Honda dealership.
