Downloading the Navioncs software right now and I also decided to buy the Lakes:Minnesota - Water Mao Navigator to go along with it. I liked that the Water Map Navigator has all the public launches listed for the lakes.

I will let you all know what I think of the apps... tough to beat the $6 I just spent for it all.

The iphone software has advanced quite a ways since then. You can do route tracking and set waypoints, the zoom has been modified with better controls also. Lots of features for $6. Paying $45 to be a beta tester was a bad choice on my part.. smile

Not an I-Phone application deal.... but you may be interested in looking at what Garmin has going with the 2 new Garmin phones coming out this summer.

They will be able to do full GPS, Google Earth, and chip data. Map downloads on the go too.

Garmin has a partnership arrangement for mapping with LakeMaster and BlueTooth, and now with Google Earth...so the possibility's there are darn near endless.

At&t already has that on the iphone. Well I guess it doesn't take chips but like others said I got both Mn mapping apps for $6 and thats all Navionics north data and Minnesota fishing data with accesses and markers. It also has Google earth on it with gps so you can see exactly where you are. There is just getting to be gps's out that do that now. And the iphone google map has driving directions on it too.
