apple wood???

I just helped a friend cut down two apple trees. I am fairly new to smoking and wondering if i can use this tree. I can exchange any helpful advise for wood (if it will work that is) I have lots of wood, from the brush to the trunk (which is about 18"). Any help would be great. or if you want wood let me know or ill burn it all in a pile

apple wood is great. as long as it isnt nasty and rotting or dry and really light, you can smoke tons of stuff with it. Don't burn it in a pile!

i have 4 pick up loads of it!!!! anyone want some? do i have to let it dry? just take the bark off? how big of chuncks? etc... the only thing i have used is store bought stuff that i have to soak first

I just split it into smaller chunks and it worked great. Its best when fresh.
