ts_hunter
I got skunked. Very few gobbles in the distance and not at sun-up like normal. Didn't hear anything today...so I hung it up early. Anyone else think it was slow down here?
troutkingmaster
My dad and I were down hunting SE of Caledonia, we got skunked as well. Thursday morning the birds were fairly active but slow the other days. We only saw 4 birds in the fields all 5 days. Seems like they are stayin in the woods. Lots of Acorns in there... DrJ
We were by Freeburg and it was real quiet on Weds. all day. I got a nice Tom on thurs. at 7;30.Two toms were following a couple of hens and they were almost out of site and I thought what the heck. I started calling as loud as I could for a solid minute. They turned around and looked my way and put there heads down and raced down to my decoy and stopped 15 yards away and started to strut. I was done. One friend got one Sat. am and the other got a Jake Sun.am. Only one buddy who left Friday didn't get a bird. DrJ

Hopefully we can get some birds moving.
