Well my "Tan" has just about all peeled off. We had a very good time. Most of the week was pretty windy but warm, low to mid 80's. Saltwater fishing was pretty good, this year I stayed on an Island on the gulf so we were about 150 yards off the water so that was very cool. Mornings and evenings went out and casted in the surf. Saw a lot of fish out there just couldn't get anything to go. The other side of the Island was on the intercoastel waterway so after dark I would go out on the dock and catch your fill of ladyfish.(long skinny silver fish that has no problem jumping 3-4 feet out of the water.) I did hook up with a bass guide buddy of mine for a day but 30mph wind, BIG lake, and 8 foot max depth. Not a great combo. A few small fish but I will say the Crazy legs chigger craw is the real deal. The last day of flats fishing was one of the best I have ever had. We boated 7 keeper Snook over 28 inches (imagine a 28 inch smallie, about the same I would guess.) about 8 more in the high teens. One over sized redfish, 28 1/2, 2 keeper reds, And a limit of sea trout. Pretty good trip I was am also happy to say used the swim jig we make and caught a HUGE 27 inch trout and 3 grouper off the dock.

Sounds like you had a good time. It beats being up here in this crappy weather. Heck i would just like to see the sun!

Did you keep any of the fish you caught?

Ya we brought a few home for the grill.
