Fasst flexx bars and rox risers

Anyone here use either one of these aftermarket pieces?

Reason I'm asking in I ordered just the riser 2" to allow a little better feel while standing on pegs, I ordered the anti vib, was thinking I'd try just the riser first but was curious if someone had both installed, if anyone does please note the make of your machine as I'm curious to clearances also.

The Can Am Renegade they built was sweet. Who would have thought a Renegade jumping a 110 foot triple? shocked

That seems to be a common theme with a lot of todays machines. Can Am, Arctic Cat and KTM all having quads that are over $10K with many others getting close.

You can still buy a new small car for less than that.

i have fasst flex bars....on a polaris

before we get into the biased remarks I will share my thoughts on the flex bars and risers....

flexx bars are great you can get different bushings to get stiffer or softer settings. these bars take away the fatigue you get when you do aggressive riding. I had these for XC racing and they are a huge energy saver. couple them with a good steering stabilizer and your set. some of the best mods I have ever spent money on.

as for the risers, I am 6'3 and they make riding alot more comfortable, while racing I am usually standing so it definately helps.

also the comment on the fat 1 1/8 vs 7/8. all the manufacturers that make the fat bar all taper out to the stock 7/8 diamater so that your brake master cylinders, throttle assemblys and handguards will still mount up.

Thanks for the info, with these mods does it cover you vision on your gauges at all, thought maybe with the big cross member pad it might obstruct my view, not really a big issue but the clearance falls into my worries also.

Also what elastmers are you using red yellow or I think thesres one more red is the hardest correct?

actually my quad doesnt have any guages (polaris scrambler) but I have a trail tech vapor computer that I got a bracket for from trail tech that displays my tack, coolant temp, mph, etc

as for clearance the fasst bars will only mount up to a fat bar clamp so you will have some sort of riser, I have one from MOOSE that isnt antivibe. save your $$$ and skip the antivibe, a steering stabilizer will help alot more.

I set the flex bars loose, but when it gets cold out in the winter the elastemer shock bushings (yellow) are way too stiff. Just felt like stock bars.

Flex bars will help with straight on hits. The bars are meant to flex more in the downward position. It also depends on how far you have the bars rotated on the clamps. Mine are rotated back a little I find this the most comfortable position, and soaks up the most bumps for me. As I mentioned I'm off the seat alot so this works for me. Someone that stays in the seat may find another position better. The steering stabilizer I have is more for bump steer. It helps more with the rapid left and right movement of the bars and can be adjusted to what type of terrain I will be riding in.

to late I ordered the av 2" riser but has the option for both fat and 7/8 bars so bars won't be an issue if I go fasst flexx, on the ss do you have a precision? or what brand, man they are 450 bucks when i looked last, I might hit the 10k mark,,, [PoorWordUsage] then i can have a machine that will do something. does that sound fishy,,,lol j/k

As for repairs on a Polaris? I have never needed to do anything to my machine that was not routine maintenace unless it was something that I as a rider caused. (That tree jumped in the middle of the trail..... I swear) But that repair was just for a piece of plastic.

No I have never owned a can-am, nor do I forsee that being something I would be interested in. I test drove them (outlander 800 and renegade 800) before I bought my Polaris and they weren't what I wanted in a machine...... But to each their own.

oh i dont think i would say anything somethingfishy, im guessing you got over $10,000 in ur one quad with tracks lol

Unfortunately well over 10K with everything...... although I would (and will) spend it again but the next one will have power steering and I haven't decided which brand of tracks will go on the next machine. Just need to see what the 2010 models have to offer.

i was just giving you a bad time haha. both your 4wheelers are really nice! i also ride polaris smile the only problem ive had with mine is some of the CV joint boots riped other than that its been a great ATV. got over 6,000 miles on her!

I haven't torn a boot yet, I do inspect them after every ride as with the tracks the snow and ice builds up and I would hate to tear one from something so simple. Biggest issue I have with my machione is the amount of fuel consumption..... I sure miss my 500 sometimes. Hopefully I will get to the point where I can have a seperate summer and winter machine so I never need to remove the tracks.

i started spraying mine with dry synthetic lube and havent ripped one since, i would suggest doing that if you worried about them. yea i would also love to have a summer and winter ride but cant at the moment. are the tracks hard to put on? how many miles are on your machines?

My machine (Camo 2008) is coming up near 2000 miles. Her machine (orange 2008) has just over 1000 miles on it. The tracks are about a 1.5-2 hour job to take off and a 2-3 hr job to put on the machine. Unfortunately the brackets need to be removed otherwise the rims/tires will rub on the brckets, I have tried both a 12" and 14" rim and the 14" will work for the front but not on the rear bracket. The front brckets re the easy ones to put on the machones the rear is where all the frutrations come in.

The dealer can do it in about an hour but they have all the nice equipment and lifts.

I did have a Can Am (Bombardier DS650). Loved the machine. Lighter than the KFX700 I had and seat of the pants feel was far better than the Kawi.

You could tell the Kawi had the power, but the delivery was more linear than the DS that was on like a light switch.
