Genofish
Is there way to reduce the water spots when washing my truck using the outside faucet? If i dry the truck right after rinsing it, the spots are minimal I have well water that is hard and full Iron. One thought i had was to run a soft water line out side. DTro
Other than using soft water, the only thing I can think of is that there is a deal you can buy called the Mr Clean Auto Dry. It hooks up to the hose and it supposed to eliminate water spots so that you don't even have to hand dry.Not sure how well it works though. Jeremy airjer W
Mr. Clean Auto Dry! I've been using it for two years know and it is well worth the investment. The first time you use it it will turn your wash mitt black. It gets the vehicle clean and spotless and there's virtually no hand drying. Shack
When I was a young man and detailed cars at a dealership, we would use a concentrated spray wax in a bulk 55 gallon drum. We would put it in a spray bottle and once the wash/rinse was done (by hand), we would spray the car down and watch the water bead off. Hit it with a squeegee and pat down the tight area and jams with rags. Worked slick Pros: Does an awesome jog quick, smells nice and it went along ways. Cons: Most times has to be bought in a 55 gal drum, cost is not cheap and you get it on your skin it sticks forever and get it in your eyes, a mandatory run to the emergency eye rinse sink is in order. Search Rinse Aid 6134 or car rinse spray wax! It was kind of like that Rain-X stuff and is like the stuff that is sprayed on your car after the rinse cycle in a car was (beads water). I ran out of my private stash years ago, so I am forced to wash my cars out of the sun, squeegee with a window blade or California blade and wipe down the excess water with a cotton towel . aczr2k
You can buy a larger filter system for your garden hose, check out some of the detailing sites, try autogeek.

I did some checking on it and if it works like they say, the price would be worth it. Water spots up here are terrible.!
Jeremy airjer W
It works! Once you hit the car with the spot free rinse you can watch the water sheet right off. The only problem I see is if you have really hard water you will go through filters a lot faster. I get about 3 or 4 washes out of a filter.
