Anyone heading down SE on sunday

The USGS HSOforum shows that the North Branch of the Root has come down almost a foot since Wed. so the south branch is probably similar. It has been below freezing the last 2 nights so that has helped slow the runoff, plus the snow is basically all gone. I would think there is a decent chance the south branch will be fishable by Sunday as long as we don't get too much rain. If it is too dirty there are a few smaller streams near there that are open for the winter season that should be fishable.

fished it the 15th and 16th. Our group ended up with about 15 total. Most were very crome. Good overall fishing. and it was about 60-65 degrees out so that made it perfect. Also ended up with 5-6 fish 30" plus range.

We fished the root. It was my fist time there. Buddy of mine goes every year once or twice. He said the water was about perfect as far as volume and stain. We just used Yarn and spawn. That seemed to be what everyone was doing well on.

I have stumbled upon pics from the WI root when googling the MN root. It was very confusing at fisrt...
