carpshooter
I would say 8 to 12 boats for an average, weather has alot to do with turn out. At the LLBA state shoot last year we had 28 boats. There was a boat that took first in the big 20 and numbers and walked away with around $700 or $800. The last place team got about $200 in bowfishing gear prizes. We had a BBQ at the end of the day to award prizes, everone who was there won something.
terrible_fisherman
How much does it cost to enter one of these and are they team events in one boat or just one shooter per boat?
carpshooter
they are 2 or 3 man teams. Usualy it runs $20 per team for each division(numbers and big 10). Then a $10 pot for the biggest fish shot. You dont have to enter in all the divisions, some teams choose to just enter in one. Each tourney has there own rules, so entery fees can very. I know for the MSAA shoot you need to be a member and the LLBA state shoot there needs to be one member in the boat. Tourneys here in MN are supposed to be fun. Some of the teams are more serious about tounaments then others. Then other people just come out and have fun BSing and hanging out with other bowfisherman.
