D4 Army
I saw on the dnr HSOforum that your sportfishing is always open. Is that including muskies?
time to go
Yep I believe thats correct. Remember that lake regs. are site specific and that info is on dnr site. Some lakes shut down for winter season some for duck, goose. In Il. our ice fishing isn't that long. Bob may have more, hopefully he didn't get run over on LaSalle. ttg. Bob Horn
You can fish for them year around. I think the power plant lakes are the ones that close. There is one out west of the Chicago burbs that closes but I don't know the name of it. It's south of Rockford. When ice fishing channel a few weeks ago I seen some monsters swim through. D4 Army
thanks guys. I'm trying to talk a friend into going out there to fish. I don't know if I can wait until June here in Minnesota. Was looking at Shabbona. That's not that far from southern minnesota.
time to go
Your welcome. Haven't fished that lake so the only tip I could give is, if you could swing it fish thru the week. Also noticed it looks like it has a 10hp limit.
D4 Army
good tip to know. I'd be taking my boat then with my 9.8 hp. I'm assuming we would pay a fee for the state park too right?

Bob Horn
I don't think there is a fee to launch. Not 100% though.
