Navionics L.O.W. chip?

I just bought the Navionics L.O.W. +2K chip and I am having a tough time using it on LOW. I was hoping that it would be much more detailed. I thought that all I had to do was insert it and activate it, but I have been having trouble believing that it does not have all kinds of contours on it. Any info from the experts would be great.

I have use one from time to time, if you are not zooming in close 1/4 - 1/8 of mile, you will not get a lot of detail. the closer you zoom the more detail, you get.

Correct, you need to be at 1/8 or 1/4 mile to see the contours.

Also, for Nav maps you need to select the right region to view - there's multiple map files on the card, you need to select the one for the LOTW region to see the contours on LOTW. They're in a drop-down menu under GPS Setup (I think that's where they are, don't have my h2o in front of me to check right now). Good luck.
