Q for Deitz

Hey Deitz,

Do you have some place locally that repairs your Shimano's? I found some places on-line, but not local.

I dumped my stradic in the drink and since then there's resistance when reeling.

First off, how old is your stradic? Does it have an oil port? If so, give it a drop. little goes a long way. Otherwise, I hate to say it, no I dont. I send them directly to shimano. At the mother ship they have no idea that I am on staff, nor do I get any special treatment. I get them back in a timely fashion and all is well with the world.

Years ago I had the tackle shop out at spring park do a bunch, he did a very good job, but dont think he does it any more.

I used to go to the guy in Anoka (Anglers Paradise) then he moved the the Bass Pro in Fridley or over there on Central Ave. Eh don't feel like driving up there.

Yes it does have an oil port, but it's boxed up already.

Thanks for the reply

Deitz,

When you send them to shimano is that just for repairs or is it for a tune up/cleaning. Also, about how long does it take to get them back.

thanks,

kt

kt- as for time, it really depends on the time of the year.. early winter and its very fast, thistime of the year a little longer as more people are pulling their stuff out of storage. I believe right now its about 3 weeks.

I send them in for both, cleaning and fixing. Although I have really only sent one in for be fixed twice.
