Bluebirds

Saw half a dozen or so around the yard today. Didn't see any checking out the nesting boxes but apparently time to get them cleaned out.

I've got my boxes cleaned out but I think it will be a few months before I see one up here.

Just a question for you that may know. Have you ever noticed or put out mealworms for the early bluebirds? I usually get some to travel through my yard, They used to nest in my cedar boxes until it got too built up around me. I have seen some packaged mealworms offered by a local bird feeder store and though I might give that a try for the new arrivals.

I have never fed them meal worms but I I'll give you a tip if your interested in trying it. Buy your meal worms online, you will get far better deals then you ever will from a pet store or bird feeding stores plus they will be shipped to your door. I used to buy crickets this way for my reptiles.
