How would you fish this?

What would you use? Describe the set up.

Explain your rational on how you plan on hitting the hole.

Browns and brookies and maybe a wayward TIGER present.

Wisconsin in the middle of May. No obvious hatches.

This was his first cast in the hole.

The angler caught four trout in this hole.

And for the above spot - with a flyrod I would fish a beadhead nymph, and more than likely not the correct way!

With spinning gear I make casts with spinners, cranks, a twister or tube jig, and maybe a couple drifts with garden hackle wink

Oh yeah, and being the middle of May I'd have been in the hills in the background earlier with a late season turkey tag in my pocket!

That's exactly what I was thinkin' but I'd have no problem casting a spinner in there a couple times while having lunch. smile

I've never fly fished, mostly spinner fish for trout. I'd start on the down stream bend and pick off one or two with an eighth ounce Panther Martin before moving to the main hole to avoid spooking them there.

BTW, nice photos!!!
