It shot the best of anything I have used, but it is slimey stuff to clean up. I found it to be corrosive also. I prefer 777 for the ease of cleaning and the availability in loose and pellet form. I had good results with Cleanshot pellets also, however they left more residue than triple seven.

I don't see any advantage to Pyrodex over Triple Seven, but every gun is different.

I also shoot triple seven. I was just wondering because pyrodex has little packets that you just drop in. I thought that it might be easy for when you are out in the woods and you have to reload fast. But I heard all that I needed to.

777 burns about 15% hotter than pyrodex. It is also much cleaner.

The pelets are a little more expensive than loose powder, but they are worth it when it comes to convenience.
