Remodeling the basement.....need ideas.

We figured that we didn't need a monster laundry room so we moved some walls.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Here are some pics of the progress so far.

We had to kick the wall out around the sump pump so we could build an access door if we need to get at it. Above the box we're going to have shelving, etc.

The last picture shows that you have the right tools for the job wink

I'd put 1" TuffR next to the block.

Hiding the duct is going to be tough, maybe just paiting it white to match ceiling is worth a try. Cheap and easy...

There appears to be a lot of black bloches in your insulation? If you put your hand in the insulation, and the black stuff feels crusty that is maybe not so good. Also I would take fiberglass insulation out of joists, and put foam in the spaces.
