hoggs222
We figured that we didn't need a monster laundry room so we moved some walls. Any ideas would be appreciated. Here are some pics of the progress so far. Before: After: We had to kick the wall out around the sump pump so we could build an access door if we need to get at it. Above the box we're going to have shelving, etc.
BoxMN
The last picture shows that you have the right tools for the job I'd put 1" TuffR next to the block. Hiding the duct is going to be tough, maybe just paiting it white to match ceiling is worth a try. Cheap and easy...
chasineyes
Should use treated 2x4's on the floor.

sparcebag
Dont forget to heat the basement, vents out the side work best to distribute the heat in far away corners, rather than straight down to the floor
Crappie Kutch
There appears to be a lot of black bloches in your insulation? If you put your hand in the insulation, and the black stuff feels crusty that is maybe not so good. Also I would take fiberglass insulation out of joists, and put foam in the spaces.
