Lowrance H2Oc and lake map

I have a lowrance H2Oc that I purchsed used. I also purchased a used lakemaster lake map. How do I download or pull up lake maps when I install the lake map chip. Thanks for any help I am not the greasted at electronics

The Map should pop up by itself you may have to zoom in to see the Lake countours.... There have been instances where you need to go into Map Data and enable it but for the most part Lakemaster is plug and play with Lowrance products..

Thanks for the reply. Probably a stupid question, do I have to be on that specific lake or can I any pull up a lake at any time say in the comfort of living room. I would like to be able to check out a lake before I get there and fish it. thanks

Yep. Just hit the scroll buttons and move the cursor to whichever lake you wish. Hit exit to return to the screen with your current position.

NPG, the maps only work when you zoom in on a lake that is listed as being on the chip map. Try and find Mill Lacs on the state map page then keep zooming down on the lake when you bring the cross lines on Mill Lacs. The Lakemap will only kick in once you get zoomed down to the lake detail that it can show you. So keep zooming and at the bottom right side you should start seeing a little Mem, card flashing when you zoom to where the lake map will start showing up. Try that.

You can also use the Find button to search for your particular lake.

To save battery while viewing lakes and making plans indoors, you can shut off the GPS search, too. On the Menu it states "Indoor Use"
