Grass shrimp..Who else uses them??

Been using grass shrimp for late season hammered on sunpike for a couple years now, with great results...Wondering about others experiences and techniques?? Anyone had success using them for trout or chirps???

Sunpike...Chirps? I have never heard these terms before explain please..

Sunpike= sunfish catpike=catfish, and so on..My dear departed friend used to call perch chirps and it kinda stuck with me over the years

Whats a Grass Shrimp? I've used Ghost Shrimp in the ocean, Brine Shrimp in the SaltenSea but Grass???

Look up Vados bait..On the HSOforum they have a picture of them..They are little shrimplike critters, about a half inch long..I use 1lb test and dry fly tying hooks, about a size 14 or smaller..When the flish turn thier noses up at other things, a lot of them will eat up one of these little bugs..Stick a couple on an ice fly..Hard to keep alive, you gotta change thier water often..I keep them in the fridge in a small styrofoam container..No city water tho'.....Excellent finesse bait!!
