Where to Buy Bait Near Morson Now?

Now that the Gills are closing the Morson store, where do I buy minnows from Terry?

By the way, it's too bad the the store's closing. I've been going in there for 25 years and will really miss that place.

The Bergland Bait shop and Grille is closed for winter, but try Al Gates at 488-5733. His place is near Bergland on the right side of 621 going north. He has a fishing tackle for sale sign at his driveway...

Buena Vista used to have minnows in winter... not sure this year...

But Terry Gil also said he would have minnows available for his ice house rentals so he may sell them to other people as well, give him a call.. store is open through Saturday as I understand... and he'll have minnows after that...

There is nothing in Rainy River that I know of. The Emo Village Variety has minnows and licenses and is open pretty good hours.... 482-1247

And yes the store closing is a bummer. Not the cheapest place on earth but it beat driving to Fort Frnaces or Baudette...

What about licenses? Can a person buy licenses in Rainy River? Losing the store is really unfortunate.

I am heading up tomorrow I will talk to Terry and see if he is still going to sell minnows.

There is a service station on the right as you get about half way through Rainy River that we bought licenses at last Winter. The were even open in the evening but I'm not sure how late. You could also try contacting Terry Gill at the store as it is still open through Saturday. I emailed Terry and he is going to sell us licenses on Friday and he indicated that he would still he selling bait even after the store closed. To be sure though, you should confirm with him prior to heading up. whereabouts in Ham Lake do you live? We may be neighbors.
