poutpro
Does anyone have a good recipe for canning fish without using a pressure cooker? I have some fish that I would like to try canning, but don't have a recipe. - Thanks
straydog
I dont think there is such a recipe, or at least a safe one.
Tom Linderholm
Pout Pro, I've looked for one myself with no luck years ago. Good luck on your search.
LABS4ME
There must be one somewhere out there... I've twice had canned tuna from Mexico... most incredible! In a quart Ball jar like any other 'canning' method.Maybe it has something to do with Salt water vs. Fresh water... but I've also seen canned Salmon before...Good Luck!Ken

iland99
I've canned salmon before, and I've even canned suckers (very good by the way). Every recipe I've ever seen requires the use of a pressure cooker. I wouldn't trust canned fish that wasn't done in a pressure cooker.
