How can this be the world championship in ice fishing? One lake in MN what gives?

Actually, 2 lakes in minnesota, Osakis on Jan 4 and then Byllsby a couple of weeks ago. Quite a few lakes in wisconsin and then some in the NE US. You don't fish all the contests and build points to qualify for the championship. After all it's the World not the Minnesota Championship.

Actually it's NOT the World Championships. It's the North American Ice Fishing Championships.

The world championships happen in Poland this year.

To some it may not. To those that enjoy getting out and competing with the best in the industry on waters across the ice belt, it means a lot.

Which NAIFC tournaments did you fish, Sonic?

I think the results of that Byllesby event are going to open a few people's eyes. Those are some nice pannies.

I do know that lake is a heck of a commercial carp fishery.
