my rev is making a clicking noise??

i have a 2003 ski-doo rev and if its at a dead stop and you punch it it makes this click sound like something is loose? but if u take it easy it doesnt make that sound.it makes this sound as soon as the clutch ingauges???

There are few things to check. If the crank bearings were bad,you could grab the clutch(not running)and pull up and down and hear the clunking,and until the oil system gets the oil flowing,it could DOO that for a minute or so

You could also try starting it with the air box off and put a finger on the carb slide, then try the other carb. Some sleds make this noise due to the slide ratlling in the carb.

If it has electric start it could be the bendex hitting the ring gear.

It could also be the track ratcheting, check to see if it is loose.

yes it has RER. it sounded to me like it was coming from underneath me like something just wasnt adjusted right?? i dont know how to check the tenson of the track (which is a 1 3/4) but the chain case has that stupid cotter pin adjuster bolt and i can never get it in the right position that i want it. i dont think its coming from the engine it just makes click when the clutch engages the whole drive system like something is a little loose but i dont know what??
