I got unit 4 and season C, which is April 29 through May 3. Was my first choice, should have gotten it being a res and opener of fishing going on then.

DonBo - whadiga get?

Zone 4, Season D, May 6-10. As a Non-Resident, season C, or the fishing opener is the earliest I'll ever draw, but the last few years we had that time period the hunting seamed to get better as the week went along. We now always apply for season D and have had great success.

Anyway, good luck to all! Thanks for the heads-up paintbrush.

I've hunted that 4th or D season a lot in the past and have done well - I think those later seasons allow you to hunt birds that are starting to get lonely with hens nesting. Also is usually green enough so you can move around and set up closer without getting picked off.

Yeah, the new zones are huge. Wonder how it will affect hunter preasure? I think probably people are gonna hunt where they've been hunting and it probably won't matter.

I sure hope it doesn't change the pressure I have found it pretty easy to get permission compared to MN. We drew late this year with season E. Doesn't bother me a bit, I hunted the last three seasons last year and shot turkeys the first day each time out. I am pumped to get back there.
