My normal trips are Sacajawea, Upper Red, and LOW and I'm looking for something new. When I was a kid my Dad used to take me on trips to Wabigoon and English river system North of Kenora. We used to bring small boats and portage around water falls and get some awesome fishing, camp out and not see anyone for a week. These were great trips, but its been 25 years since I've been there. I guess I'm looking for a little more adventure than my normal trip and would love some ideas.

Do you have a budget? I would recommend a fly in also for something close.Otherwise, I went to Homer, Alaska a few years ago and recommend that to anyone who wants a sore arm at the end of the day along with the most beautiful landscape you'll ever see. Spent 5 days, 2 for travel and 3 fishing. Caught our limit every day.

A good fly in out of savant lake ontario is Art Lattos Wilderness cabins. I was there in sept and it was walleye after walleye. all nice eaters I think the biggest was 24 inches but most of the fish were 16 to 20 inches. We also caught alot of northern think the biggest was 16 lbs. The lake I stayed at was Church hill lake they own cabins on a couple different lakes.
