Which maker burns more pistons?

I was a Ski Doo guy for many years. I have had 4 Ski Doos and burn and replaced pistons on 3 of them. Since then I have had 3 Polaris and haven't lost a piston on any of them! Polaris guy now!

Being a mechanic, in all seriousness, I'd have to say the maker who's owners pay the least attention to jetting and carb maintainance burn the most pistons. None are exempt! All makers have gotten leaner and leaner to meet new emission standards for snowmobiles. If it matters....I have replaced far more personally on Polaris than Skidoo, and I own Skidoo.

What Mac said. A lean condition will cook a cylinder. While you can cook a one lunger, twins and triples are more prone because that lean condition can get masked.
