I'm looking at buying one from a friend and he's had it for about 1 year.

he is selling it for 299.

is that a good buy?

theres nothing wrong with it.

i fished in it today actually and it was roomy.

is that a good ice house??

Bought one earlier this year and so far it has been great. It's my first portable so I don't have much to compare it to, but so far I have no complaints. Fast set up pulls easy, plenty of room inside...

No problems with mine. They are $500 new in the box. If it is already assembled, in good shape, and you are willing to spend the 3Bills, go for it.

I was wondering if I put the gander rope lights in it, how could I power them?

Like with what type of battery if I don't wanna go buy a vex battery. I do have a battery for the boat electronics, would that work for it??

This week or last week Fleet Farm had the magnums on sale for 450$ So 300$ for a slightly used one seems good to me. And they had 7Ah sealed batteries ( vex batteries) on sale as well. The boat battery will work but is 15 times heavier than a "vex" battery... of course it will run the lights and a flasher for just about the rest of the ice season on one charge.

lol idk if the charge would last the rest of the ice season but it would IMO just be a lil to big and bulky for me to carry around specially siince i like the run and gun technique but if your not gonna move a lot the boat battery will be fine
