Lost Our Dog

Two nights ago while blowing out our driveway we let all three of our dogs out. My new lab and my lab retriever mix stayed around while my brothers lab who likes to go to the neighbors about a half mile down the road took her weekly trip down their and we couldn't find her after that. We spent all night calling her and the next day their was still no sign. Today on our way back from my yougest brothers basketball tournament we saw her on the side of the road. It isn't like her to run on the road as she usually will not come out of the ditch. So my dad and I drove down the road and picked her up. We decieded to wait until spring to burry her. It was a sad day for everyone today and it will be for a while. She was a nice hunting dog and was friendly to all. Three years ago when we got her she was two. She was living inside a womans house as a puppy, in town. They lady was older so didn't get her out much. When we brought her out to the acerage she had lots of energy and it never seemed to leave her. She would also go running all the time in the summer and fall with my dad and I so when we burry her we are planning on putting our running shoes with her. God bless Pookie aka Pooh. You will be missed.

You have my sympathy. It doesn't matter how, where or when. Loosing your best friend is very hard! I lost one of mine back in May and it still hurts. Though we have gained another since, the heart still has the missing hole from him. We had him cremated and he now sits on our ledge in the basement so we can talk to him everyday. I wish you and your family the best in this hard time.

Joe,

Let me start off by saying I am deeply sorry to hear about your loss. I have had one dog in my lifetime pass away. It was the worst day of my life… I had the dog from age 3 till I was 19. I could not fathom how hard it must be to have a dog lost in such away. When people say a dog is a man’s best friend they are speaking the truth!

Once again I send my condolences and we all are thinking of you and your buddy!
