Hey Tom, I'll have to double check, but I see no reason I won't be able to come this year with my two girls.

I missed it last year so I'm hoping to come out again. It might be the only HSO fishing GTG I get to this winter.

I'm sorry Tom, I'm going to have to back out again. Last year was too cold and the date moved to a time I was going up north. This year, I spaced out an ice contest in WI that I'm one of the sponsors for. Didn't realize it was the same date. If you want to use my giant portable as a warming house, let me know. I can meet up with you a couple of days prior and leave it with ya.

Well my buddy Rob and I went out today to get a feel for what the fish were doing and check the ice and lake conditions. It should be pretty good. - Click Here - for a bit more detail.

If we get the snow we are predicting, we will have a great time out there. If we don't it is going to be very slippery. Lets hope for the snow to come as we don't want the kids to be slipping on the ice, it was like a skating rink out there tonight. Shallow water was key tonight as the bluegills were in 6 feet of water or less. Caught some dandies too. Really looking forward to getting out there.

Polarsus - I will be there for sure, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I will bring my portable (QF III) and heater - it sould be good for a warming house if folks don't want to fish out of it. I will also bring my auger and gear (poles, tip-ups etc). Sounds good Paul. I am thinking with temps right around 20 degrees, it might be nice to set up a couple porties just as warming shacks and maybe have an Aqua-Vu set up inside for kids to watch fish swimming around.

I plan to have the reel weeds set up in an area to draw some fish in as well. I have to talk to another friend to see if I can use some of his along with mine, we can make one heck of a weed bed.

OK Thanks for the map. I'm in with my daughter and we're bringing her friend who has never ice fished. Looking forward to it. Looks like we'll have some snow cover on the lake which is nice.

Yeah, my girlfriend was giving me a bunch of flak last night cause every time we stepped outside I was cheering for the snow. This snow looks to be perfect for traction out there too. I am really glad it came down.

waxies, euro, gulp maggot? (colors?) I'll come prepared.

I have been using Gulp Maggots and Little Atom Nuggies. My buddy fishing out there with me on Monday was using Euros and Waxies with good success as well.

I talked to Frankies and they are going to donate a bunch of Euros, Waxies, and Suckers. The suckers we will put on the tip-ups for bass and pike. Pretty sure we will get a few flags out there.
