Finger Lakes Reports 2009

I thought I would start this thread due to the fact that a few lakes that haven't froze in 3 seasons, will be fishable this season.

A little Birdie told me today that Owasco is ready to go. The deep water has enough ice to get over the Lakers in 172FOW

Skinny has ice out past the CC and it should be fishable this weekend...it has been a long time coming for the Goliath Zebra Backs out of Skinny

I have some Ice Conditions coming later today and I will post them!

I can remember walking out of town in skinny and catching buckets and buckets of those long perch. They don't get that football look but they do get long like a walleye.

Hey Lee, I don't know what your smokin'...those Skinny Perch are THE only Perch in the State of New York that rival Seneca Lake's Perch

I can show you pictures of 3 and 4 years ago, of several 15.5-16.5 inch FAT Perch laying next to a 28 inch Laker that gave the Laker a good run for it's money

Ask DC...he is the only one in the group that has seen the pictures. He has also seen the 15.5# Laker out of Owasco I got 4 years ago.

I seen the pictures of those fish you showed them to me 2yrs ago they are big along with that mud shark .

Send them pictures to me, I sure would like to see.

I just don't remember then skinny perch being those big belly hanging hogs, most of them where really nice slender 12" -13"er's. If you want to make a trip out there let me know, I sure miss fishing it. Do you think we could get out of the CC or have to walk from town. I remember parking in a parking lot behind the business's and dragging my trap through town, you should have seen the looks I got. LOL
