Ice fishing/winter jackets

Recommended Posts

I have Ice Armor pants and I LOVE them! Now I am looking for a really warm jacket to go with them. I ordered a Spyder jacket but it was to small and didn't have a warm hood (it had the kind you roll up and tuck in the collar). I also looked at the Ice Armor jackets, and I might end up getting one if I can't find anything else. I need a jacket thats good for below zero temps (tommorrows high is -8 BRRRR) for ice fishing, plus something I could possibly wear day to day... Any ideas??

I have the blue suit(coat and bibs), while they are great, you might want to check into the Grey suit as they are insulated. I wonder if you can buy just the coat or do you have to buy the suit?

I think I'm going to upgrade next year.

Just some food for though. wink

I have a Strikemaster jacket and I love it, although it is red/black and might not go real great with the royal blue Ice Armor. I have yet to get the matching bibs, but I did pick up a cheap pair of black ones this winter and I do have my old standby camo ones which I really like better than the black ones.

The bibs I have are black. They were bought when they first came out and you could just buy the bibs. I've been using my camo hunting jacket and I don't want to ruin it. I think I might go with the Artic Armor. I'd like the Ice Armor jacket but you can only buy the suit, so I'm thinking I'll go with the Artic Armor jacket.

I have a north face jacket that I love its called a hy vent not sure if they make any more mine is five years old and its a tru wind stopper its made for skiing out west so it has vents if you get warm and pull cords on the bottom so you can snug it so no winds will draft. Mine was just a shell and I put a polertech 200 gram insulator in it and I have others for warmer weather might want to check into that brand also... good luck
