Mille Lacs Recap

Fishing was not that great for us. Thursday night I caught an 18 1/4 inch beauty which was CPRed. Friday morning a small walleye and a few perch. We did see a big honking eelpout on the Aqua Vu. Fished all day Friday without a bite. Could see lots of perch down there, but no matter what we threw at them the just looked and moved on. Saturday afternoon I had a HUGE Musky swim right past the camera and slowly glide along out of view. Startled the bejeezers out of me, Char was lucky enough to make it over to the camera before it slid out of sight. We had a fun time and ate good food and laughed ourselves sick. Plus Teresa introduced me to a yummy new concoction she dubbed the "Mille Lacs Wedding Punch". Here's a couple of pics I took

On the down side, I got home to some very disconcerting news. Someone has made a fraudulent charge on a credit card I hardly ever use, and I suspect it was an employee of the credit union that issued the card. I do not use this card very often and never use it online. They charged 5 Cruzer mini flash drives and had them sent to an address about a mile away from the CU office, kind of suspicious don't ya think. They used my phone number too, and the address they sent it to was an apartment building so UPS called my home phone number and talked to my husband because they didn't have the apartment number on the order. He gave them our home address so the order was sent to our house.

Great report Barb! Sounded like you gals, as usual, had a blast!! Sorry I couldn't make it. Work and family were the priority. What's in a "Mille Lacs Wedding Punch?"

I sure would love a underwater camera! You have an Aqua-Vu right?

Will your credit union erase those charges then?

Yes I have the Aqua-Vu Scout, which I bought 4 years ago.

Glad you had a great time - as if there was any dought that you would.

Sorry I missed it, but we had a funeral to go too on Sat am and then Donna's dad passed away Sat evening.

I had a great time with the gals also, I came home with a few perch that I caught and a few that others caught. It has been a long time since I have laughed that hard. It was so much fun. I wish all could have been there. As Barb said the food was great and the company even better. I am in for any GTG.

Paul said he will be posting the particulars in the next few weeks, I am planning on it. I am also going to try and make it to the Future FMer's GTG in February.
