King Canada
At the end of open water my livewell pump died. It's in 99 Angler SS 1700. Has anyone else suffered this calamity and do you have any insight into how best to take things about to get at it?
delcecchi
Is it the pump or the electricity/switch? That would be the first thing to determine.
marine_man
I would get a test light and figure out where the problem is.Verify that the fuse is good, and that you have power and ground at the pump.If that's the case, then it's probably time for a replacement...Remove the center cover in the splashwell and start working... it's not too difficult, but access is a bit uncomfortable.marine_man
King Canada
Upon further investigation it doesn't seem so bad. Fuses are good. Maybe I'll go for the Turbo upgrade. Main part of the floor in back went soft. I think I'll go with vinyl. Good winter project.
Genofish
I have had the live well pump suck up a small pebble causing the pump to sieze up. Maybe that caused the pump to stop or burn out?
