Agreed, Tyrell Johnson is at least AS GOOD as Sharper, right now. Sharp was good, but it has been said he hates playing in the tampa 2 because he cant ballhawk. He will be in Pittsburgh next year or some other 3-4. Shazammmm

I like Tyrell Johnson and think he will be a good safety given a little time. I think Moore will be a perrenial pro bowler. Either way we won't draft him unless we make some big moves in free agency and go bpa in the draft.

call me crazy but i think griffen would be real good at nickle or safety...pick up asomugha as our true #1 shutdown corner we've always needed and put winfield as our #2.

same situation we all debated last year about DE and CB...i bet you guys are happy now that we went with jared instead of drafting a DE at #17....we got the pass rush DE we always wanted and stayed young at the same time but i still think we need that true shutdown corner.

winfield and griffen are similar players...griffens tackling went off the charts this year just like how winfield has always been...but they both get burned in coverage alot....if we could get that true shutdown #1 corner and mix n matched blitzes and coverage schemes with winfield and griffen we'd be lights out.

tyrell looks like he's gonna be pretty good at tackling also once he learns the system and gets up to NFL speed...he's made some good special team plays...he made a nice play on westbrook too....i like our guys and our defense is mean i think asomugha would bring us to wicked status.

last year i was chanting jared this year i'll be chanting asomugha so get used to it lol.

Tyrell played well for a rookie this year but he did not have a good game at all against Philly. Two passes, in particular, he was late-late-late at getting over for some deep help. Both passes came on critical 3rd down plays. Just another example of a veteran (McNabb) taking advantage of a younger player. We need some back-up linebackers and another good safety in this draft. Sharper is gone and we need help on our special teams. Vinny C. doesn't cut the mustard and Farwell may not be ready 100% when the season rolls around. Usually takes 2+ years to fully recover from knee surgery.

No I can't but it was clear by the reaction of our corners and him comming 2-3 steps late that this was his responsibility. He would not have been in the screen if he had been locked up on another receiver. The announcers also said he failed to help "over the top" on one of the plays. It was very clear.

lol i knew you were gonna say the announcer said...i hope you don't believe everything announcers say.

just because he wasn't locked up on a reciever doesn't mean he wasn't supposed to zone somewhere else...safeties can zone anywhere depends on the play call....maybe him being 2-3 steps late was showing how good he can cover the field? i don't know either way either i just know announcers are redundant half the time and need something to talk about.

the part i don't understand is why mccauley was 1 on 1 with deshaun jackson their big play deep threat guy...thats the play you and the announcers are talking about...ofcourse mccauley's reaction is gonna wonder whats up when he gets burned like that lol.

mcnabb would of probably went there either way knowing mccauley was covering his deep threat guy...it was a nice throw and catch.

FISHINGURU...had it been any other announcer other than Aikman I would have agreed but I'm pretty sure he knows how a defensive backfield responds to certain plays as well. Mccauley can and is supposed to let the deep receiver go at a certain point WITH the help of the Safety over the top. I think he's a good young player that's going to make alot of plays for the Vikes next year.

forsure...i tend to question our defensive play calling when it comes to passing though...they were owning us in the middle of the field just before that which would lead me to believe tyrell could of been playing zone to the middle and hurried over to help mccauley when the ball was in the air....both mccauley and tyrell were lookin at each other like what were you doing lol.

either our play calling when it comes to passes sucks or our players suck because it never looks like our guys are where they should be...otherwise they are where they should be according to the play call it's just the wrong call....i think our guys are better then the calls most the time...or the opposing qb just always happens to find the hole in our zones.

the tyrell play could of easily just been a rookie mistake though or bit to the middle for a second on his own...i wish i could break down film and see everything like they do after the games that would be fun.
