St. Croix Rod

I use the Avids in the summer, but in winter the price is a little steep for me. I got some of the Genz rods, they have work very well. but so have some the other light weight rods for even walleyes.

i have used the sr.croix for 2 years now and it is all i use and have never had one snap that was not my fault .... so yes i did have one brake on me but i got it to hot trying to put a spring bober on it ..

I have 3 St. Croix legends and love them! 1 broke, but only after someone stepped on it. They're definitely my go to rod when the Crappie are bitting light!

I had one of the short st.croix rods for sight fishing and I loved it until the tip busted off. I brought it back to thorne bros. since that is where I bought it and they tried to fix it. The fix lasted one trip and it broke again so it found a nice home in the garbage can.

Good news. Went back to where i got it..Mtn

They returned it... plus returned the 110 yards of Vanish that was on the spool. Couldn't believe it.

They didn't have anymore combos or Jason Mitchell left so had to buy a St. Croix blank and a reel which equaled the same price anyways. Better bang for the buck

One thing I noticed about the St. Croix blanks is that the eyelets are almost perfectly straight on all the rods.

Has anyone else noticed it?

I had a hard time finding one with all the eyelets straight the last time I picked one up. Most of them were not lined up. I've had the rod for a couple of years now, and I haven't had any issues with it as far as the tip breaking etc.
