Tanks out on the west end of Oneida now. He's doin decent on the perch. The fish are doing alot of sniffing and looking today. The guys around him are saying they were on fire yesterday...

Yepper Tim that was WB's father Bill and I out there. We got out on the ice about 5AM and it was hard to judge the distance to shore in the dark, hence the set of holes inland. We ended our day with Bill taking a toll on the Smallies with only one less than 3lbs and he also got 2 Eyes an 2 White Perch. I had a so-so day with 3 Perch and 7 White Perch. I'll be heading back out to that spot Friday AM to try an improve my luck.

Actually Todd they do taste pretty good, but not as good as the Eyes and Perch!! I also like the taste of Pickeral even though they're boney. Let me know when it's a good time to get that from you. Was going out today but it's pretty windy, so I'm going to work on the new house so we can get moved in.

I can teach you how to fillet the without trouble or bones but it's easier to give you the video. We'll have to get together, mabe before the ice is gone. I believe In-Fisherman had an article way back on ways to prepare the silvers. Said they were good eating. I've never kept them. The boney boys? You bet!

Went off chapman today with Mr.Tuzzy and had a pretty good day we had over 30 perch fished from 6:30am till 1:00pm. We pick and pulled the whole time no throw backs whats so ever all quality fish .I had a few that were 13+ inches my buddy donnie and his 2 friends had a little over 30 also alot of other people catching fish too.The smallmouth would come through and they were ranging from 2 to 5 pounds my 3lb test is probably 1lb test now.One nice thing no Dinks what so ever all 10+ .

sniper, my father and myself fished off chapman this morning. we arrived about the same time as thunder and fished till noon. i managed to ice 3 nice perch and a 23" catfish. my father ended up with a few nice perch also and quite a few smallmouth. and sniper also ended up with a couple of perch.

I have a buddy of mine checking the water and Ice conditions this morning on oneida will report when I hear something.I am sure the holes from yesterday are washing out pretty good and any open cracks stay away from .

Went off chapman again today for a few hrs real foggy a few guys out with sleds, quads.The old holes not in bad shape at all some spots with water but not many .Fishing was terrible (1) perch some people were picking up a few but they were pretty tight liped there is alot of water dumping into the lake we had about a 1 1/2 inches of rain last night. Ice still 14 to 15 inches in most spots I think the thunder and lighting screwed them up feeding time will be soon .

Good job I was going to go this morning but this rain is unstopable we need some very cold weather to get back out there.I wonder how bad the small body's of water are doing I would like to get on Tusc.

Took a ride down to the beach just before dark nobody off the beach and the barge is still locked up alot of run off coming out of fish creek .I sighted about 5 huts between the mouth of oneida creek and lewis pt I am sure they are after the eyes.Oneida creeks mouth is open about 2 to 3 hundred yds out I think within the next few days the eye fishing should be good If any one goes out be safe.

Fished off the beach this morning 7 to 11 am caught 2 eyes around 4 to 5 lbs a piece(pigs) .The only other fish I caught was a smallmouth 2 pounder marked quite a few fish they would sniff and leave. Ice is good no water on it a little on the shoreline not much though. All fish were C/R to live another day .

Going to oneida in the morning 7am to run some eyes down at the beach as long as the wind isn't blowing a hundred miles an hr.I don't know if any bodys up for that running them down that is .

lester, Bill and Al went out off the beach today. They didnt catch much but Bill said the ice was still 15". Im going to go saterday and sunday. the ice should be good this for another week or so. i checked the temp a few minutes ago and it was 32*. the weather said windchills in the single digits for tommarow morning

Someone want to confirm that there's open water along the North Shore shoreline by Jewel? Drive 22 reporting open water, waders already?

Just took a ride from edgewater to the canal and found some open water on the edgewater side and 5 or 6 guys off the beach area. 3 on buckets and 3 in traps closer to North Bay. Yup the wind is still howling bad at times. Heading off the beach in the am in search of some eyes.Pray for some cool nites to keep this runoff to a minimum. Some minor flooding in the area already.

Thanks Greg - Just got off the phone with Greg and Z and the shoreline areas by Jewel need waders to access, there fishing Jack's and barely got on without getting a wet boot not seeing anything.

Josh is running up to Canadarago to check out the damage.

Todd and Doug are off the bathhouse, and the wind is whipping pretty good from the north.
