MidCoast
Where can one purchase these Rattl'n Flyer Spoon ?
Borch
Midcoast,Anywhere that handles Lindy Tackle. There Rattl'n Flyer Spoon is probably one of their best selling ice lures. My favorite spoon for cat and eye fishing through the ice is the 1/8 or 3/16 oz in glow red or firetiger. The 1/16 oz size works great on crappies and perch. The finishes on these spoons is very, very tough.
Shack
Right from Lindy at Lindyfishingtackle.com I have seen Rattl'n Flyer Spoon kits (the only way IMO to buy them) at Gander and other large sporting goods stores. I have had great success with the Rattl'n Flyer spoon from Lake of the Woods for sager & walleye, to Mille Lacs jumbo perch, metro area lakes & crappies, to open water walleyes on Mississippi Pool 2. Great lure
markkstanley
Just curious Shack. For the river are you tipping them with minnows?? Gulp?? Getting to be time for a P4 excursion and might be the ticket for those sauger.
Northlander
I have been doing very well on a Lindy Flyer in the Rainbow color on the St. Louis River. When the current is up I dont worry about tipping but when the current is light I downsize and tip it. Seems like I do get more bites when tipped. Steve Foss
I very much like the action as well. I have one on one of my laker rods, and when conditions lead me to downsize I throw an untipped rattlin flyer down the hole. I've caught a couple nice lakers on the 3/16 oz spoons so far (bubble gum pattern). Really a nice hooking lure, too. Here's a 3 lber from a week or so ago. Nate McVey
I've had some luck with the Flyers and the gills. Seemed to be they would take it after a handful of small jigs, then stopping it dead. I was by myself when I took this and it was with my phone, so it is what it is. Northlander
You can check the HSO Club Forum for a taste of the nice walleyes I have been catching on Lindy Flyers and darters lately.

This year I would love to try some med. leaches or even crawler hunks. Gulp is a great option also. I have plenty options in the Gulp category I would love to try. Northlander
I ran out of decent sized chubs the other night so I started tipping these Flyers with Gulp minnow heads and dang if I didnt catch a few walleyes like that. Funny how some times we are forced to try something new and it actually works.
steve n
I'm a big fan of the gulp minnow heads, they work great in our area. But sometimes they just can't out do the real thing.
