whisker! I think we are ok. We have been trying to be some what vague about who shot him .To many thieves out there! There isn't much traffic here anyway. ( that is why i had it put in this forum! to try to generate some!)

We can't wait to see that big boy after he is mounted ! He didn't weight as much as he looks like it should. But with the rut, he had to of lost ALOT of weight!

I've read up to 25% of bodyweight can be lost during the rut in multiple articles. What was he... 180lbs? That would've pushed him close to 230 around Halloween. Any field pics?

No field pictures. They said he field dressed 186.

I thought i would bring this back up. He will have this buck at the classic in desmoines this weekend if you want to see it! They were going to pick it up today.( he had to build a box for the back of his truck to haul it in!

The guys in out shotgun group that live in Sumner informed me of where he got it. They just named the town it was by and not the pinpoint location. Still a nice buck and would love to be able to see it this weekend.

I thought i would let you guys know that this deer won "BEST OF SHOW" this weekend at the Iowa Deer classic in DesMoines!

Will it be at the UNI Dome at the sportshow this weekend? I thought I read in the Courier last weekend that there will be some big racks from deer shot last year.

Nope! He decided it was too much of a pain to take to another show.
