finspat
Here is my Deer Tag question.Firearms SeasonIf I hunt in a management area, I can havest a buck or antlerless deer with regular license, then get another antlerless deer with a bonus tag. Am I done? Now, filling my regular firearms license and bonus tagfor that management area that I hunted in the firearms season. Can I buy a Muzzleloader License? Can I purchase a bonus tag?Or is my hunting over for the year? hunting same area as firearms season.(management Area) If I bow hunted and harvested a buck in a intensiveharvest area then go gun hunting in a management area, can I use my regular firearms license to tag a anterless only and buy a bonus license, like maybe getting 2 deer during firearmsseason. having got a buck, making this 3 deer per year. Can these scenerios play out as long as you only tag no more then 5 deer, also one of them can be a buck and only one that is .This is what I interpet from Rule bookOr am missing something?Just want to be clear on the rules.Like to hear your imput. Also Good luck to all of you hunting and be safe! Thanks
skee0025
They addressed this on the radio last night. You can only tag the number/combination of deer authorized for your area. IE.. if your area allows a buck and a doe, then that is all you can take regardless of the combinations of seasons you hunt. It sounds to me like you've got it correct though, you can mix and match you just cant go over the alloted deer harvest number for your area. lcornice
While this post should not be viewed as a substitute for the regulations book, you pretty much have it right. If you killed both your deer during the gun season in a managed area, you're done in managed areas because you reached the bag limit (2). The 2 major rules are: 1) One buck ... period 2) Areas are managed by bag limits. You can mix and match seasons and license types (regular, bonus) in any way you want so long as you don't exceed the bag limits (or the statewide bag limit of 5) - a) lottery - one per year total managed - 2 per year (not 2 per managed it's 2 total) c) intensive - up to 5 Remember, the early antlerless bag doesn't count towards your 5. Good luck!
emtbucket
Here is my Deer Tag question.Firearms SeasonIf I hunt in a management area, I can havest a buck or antlerless deer with regular license, then get another antlerless deer with a bonus tag. Am I done?yes, in a management area you are done, you can move to intesive harvest area for 3 more anterless deer. Now, filling my regular firearms license and bonus tagfor that management area that I hunted in the firearms season. Can I buy a Muzzleloader License? Can I purchase a bonus tag?Or is my hunting over for the year? hunting same area as firearms season.(management Area)You are done in a management area, you would need to move to an intensive harvest area to muzzleload. If I bow hunted and harvested a buck in a intensiveharvest area then go gun hunting in a management area, can I use my regular firearms license to tag a anterless only and buy a bonus license, like maybe getting 2 deer during firearmsseason. having got a buck, making this 3 deer per year. This is correct and you could go back and take 2 more anterless deer in an intensive harvest area for a total of 5.
