A few floatplane shots

From an outing on Friday. We were hoping for some air to air work but ended up having aiplane issues.

#1 Look ma it floats!

#2 Taxing out for departure.

#3 Just lifting off. In order to use a shutter speed low enough to keep prop blur I had to pan the shot. That is why the background looks blurry.

Nice work I like the motion in the panning shot, might be even cooler with the shutter slowed more, if it is possible. You know get a little more blur in the background. I also like the last one. That one is worthy of someone's desk or wall.

Yeah, I agree Yak, slower shutter and more blur would have been better on that shot. Its halfway right now. Halfway to stopping motion and halfway to showing good motion. Makes for a half-baked shot.
